Richard Miguel

Biography

Prior to joining West Physics, Mr. Miguel spent several years as a medical physicist at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. During his tenure at Beth Israel, he performed quality assurance testing of diagnostic imaging systems for the Departments of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, the Cancer Center, and the Heart Institute. Mr. Miguel also helped oversee the hospital’s radiation safety program in conjunction with the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), ensuring the safe and lawful medical application of radiation and radioactive materials for the main hospital and at three additional Beth Israel locations across the city. These experiences have afforded him the opportunity to work and solve problems with individuals that fill a wide range of important roles in the medical and regulatory fields. Mr. Miguel also acts as a subject matter expert representative on the ACR Blue Ribbon Panel on Fluoroscopy Safety.

Mr. Miguel is originally from Elmont, New York.
